I am not totally sure why I decided to do this, but It has certainly proved to be interesting.

What is in a name? well the name Tim Holmes to be precise, is it just me that has some creative flair or does everyone with the name Tim Holmes like to do something different.

Rather than track down every Tim Holmes known to man I simply entered into Google the name Tim Holmes. Apart from myself located on the 1st page there were a couple of others with the keywords Tim and Holmes in there domain name, so I decided to concentrate on them.

My first port of call was www.timholmes.co.uk - unfortunately this gentleman sneaked in just before I did on the domain name, literally by days. Like myself he is a UK resident (Norwich I believe), hence the .co.uk and follows a similar career path. This Tim Holmes is a graphic designer, and from what I can see a good one at that. He has worked for numerous blue chip clients and produced some very nice work.

The second Holmes I have tracked down with my namesake Sherlock's intuition is www.timholmes.com. Now this site has remained the same foe almost 4 years, nothing ever seems to change. However from the website it would again seem the native of New Zealand is a again like myself and the gentleman from Norwich mentioned above also a creative type, with sections dedicated to graphics and photography.

Holmes number three is www.timholmesstudio.com. Would you believe it we have yet another creative type, this time in the form of an illustrator and sculptor. His dynamic, abstract and simply breath taking works and exhibits can be seen throughout North America.

To cap it off I have also found Tim Holmes Photography in New Zealand, an actor called Tim Holmes and then further Tim's in my area of expertise, web design.

I have been quite impressed with the varied paths that these indiviuals have taken but even more suprised that they all in most part appear to be inspired by a creative thought process. I have no doubt that there will be numerous lay about and inactive Tim Holmes' but altleast they are not found in general on the internet. I hope this short article was a little interesting if not bizzare. Finally to answer my question. What's in a name?

Well in the case of Tim Holmes, I have found that they appear to be active, creative and set out to perform a career to be noticed. I certainly think I fit this mold.
